Objectives

The Lead & Seed program strives to meet five objectives when working with youths: (1.) Build human, technical and financial capacities (2.) Change policies, practices and procedures (3.) Utilize print, broadcast, and electronic media (4.) Cultivate advocacy skills (5.) Build leadership skills.

Theory of change

  1. We need to educate youth about alcohol, tobacco, other drugs, violence and bullying.
  2. With that education they’ll be aware of activities they should be involved in.
  3. Involvement in good activities will make them stronger and better people.
  4. They will enjoy the approval of their actions.
  5. They will not want to risk going back to actions that could lead to disapproval.

We believe that when the principles taught in our “Theory of Change” are applied a reduction in the use of alcohol, tobacco and other drugs along with a reduction in violence and bullying among youth will result.
